What is GMAT?
GMAT or Graduate Management Aptitude Test is a worldwide common test for taking admission for pursuing Masters especially MBA. (GMAC) started the test in 1953 for nine universities who wanted a standardized test for entrance to their programs. GMAT is valid for approximately7000 programs and the test scores are accepted by 2300 universities worldwide. It has around 650 test centers in 114 countries and the test fee is $250.
What’s the process?
For appearing for GMAT you have to either register yourself online or you have to call at any of the test centers. In one single year, you cannot exceed the limit of giving the test for more than five times and this process should be applied between a gap of 16 days from your past exam. The GMAT test is restricted to 8 times in total for anyone to take the test. You can register by phone, online, or by postal mail too.
Who takes the test?
GMAT is commonly taken by MBA aspirants who desire to go abroad for their further studies. The GMAT test is designed to assess the candidate’s skills in 4 different sections to get success in a Graduate Management program.

GMAT Exam Format
GMAT is offered in a computer-adaptive format only. It has four sections to assess candidate skills.

Total testing time allotted is around 3 hours and 7 minutes. And, the total score range is 200-800. It is organized in the table below to have a better understanding of the sections, the time limit, and the scoring criterion.
